Does Fin WA provide groups for parents?

Fin WA runs Information and Support groups for parents and family members. Groups are currently running on:

  • The first Tuesday of each month at Sanori House, Cnr Reid Promenade & Grand Boulevard, Joondalup: Click here for MAP
  • The second Wednesday of each month at 44 Edward Street, Perth: Click here for MAP
  • The fourth Wednesday of each month at St Nicholas Community Centre, 14 Council Ave, Rockingham: Click here for MAP

All groups run from 10am – 11.30am and a cuppa and morning tea is provided. Each session generally begins with an information section – this might be about legal procedures or department processes; this is to help families understand the various steps of their involvement and to help feel more informed. The session is then followed with a general chat with others.

Parents who attend groups often find meeting other parents involved in the department an encouraging and supportive experience.

If possible it is helpful to register your attendance. To do so you can email us by using the ‘contact us’ section on this website or phone the office on 08-9227 5818.
